dba Set Up Sauna (21st Mar 2001)

White labels are currently circulating of the record 'Mirage' by an act called Sauna, which consists of dba and guitarist Robin Boult. It's already attracting lots of radio attention. dba have also been working with Howard Jones on a progressive house version of 'What Is Love?' and with dance act Secret Knowledge on a tribal house/techno record called 'Mojo'. No release dates have yet been announced but it is expected all these records will be released this summer.

IndigoEcho EP (20th Dec 2000)

IndigoEcho have announced that their next release will be a CD EP, again recorded with Room 3 Records. The band plan to record between January and March next year on the island "Mull", just off the coast of Scotland. The band have been approached by the website cdbaby.com about the possibility of playing a few shows in the Seattle area of the USA next summer.

Dum Dums Welcome Broadband (10th Oct 2000)

On October 18th the Dum Dums will be playing a free gig at King Tuts in Glasgow, to be filmed exclusively for BT's Open World and webcast at a later date. This webcast will be the first ever Broadband Ondemans webcast of a gig in the UK. The band will be on stage between 10:00pm - 10:45pm, heading to the gig straight after supporting Robbie Williams across town. Short Updates (29th Jun 2000)

NGM, home to Tomorrow's Girl, Steve and various other artists have just launched their new website. One:Lite's next release will be a 4 track EP, due sometime during the summer. The Abundant club are busy planning their summer ball -- they will also be hosting the club venue at Greenbelt. IndigoEcho are getting airplay during the indie night at one of Chicago's mainstream clubs -- check out our IndigoEcho giveaway.

dba Smile (10th May 2000)

The Original Songwriters, a weekly showcase at London's W14 club which recently played host to Andy Thornton last night saw a set from dba. dba are busily promoting their new single "Smiling Girl" which will be released on 12" vinyl very soon. They are still looking for distribution for the new album.

Snippets (29th Apr 2000)

The new Howard Jones album will feature former Iona bassist Nick Beggs. Beggs is currently preparing for a string of solo Chapman Stick concerts across the UK. dba are receiving a great deal of support from Sky TV. Sibling have just completed their first demo recording. Zozzy, designer of the original Britlinks logo has some tracks at MP3.com under the name The Love Frequency.

Tidbits (26th Mar 2000)

A review of the new album by dba is now available from their website. No release date has yet been set for the album, which is titled Spectrum. Dust have shut down their website while they work on a new one. Restore My Soul is the new album from Johnny Markin available now through ICC. Mark Houston tells us that he is part of a new band called m.e.r.c.y lead formed by former members of Pray Naked, Jubal and Red. The sound is described as "more blues than alternative, but still edgy"

Essential V-Enna (19th Jan 2000)

V'Enna, another artist from the Movation stable, have recently signed aUS deal with Essential Records and hope to release their debut album inthe summer. The group have recently completed their first radio single --a special maxi-single is to be released in the USA at the end of February,including remixes from Zarc Porter, Robbie Bronniman (dba) and ToddCollins.

dba Finish Album (06th Jan 2000)

Howard Jones recently announced that the new dba album is completed and that heisworking with the former NGM band to arrange distribution to the mainstreammarket.

dba Go With The Sun (08th Dec 1999)

dba (formerly 65dba) haverecently released the track "Go With The Sun"on a limited edition 12" single through Howard Jones' dtox label. The single contains two mixes of the track. Bassist Steve Lawson, who may be familiar to some for his work with Andy Thornton and Ragatal, joined Howard Jones on his recent European tour.

Time of our Lives (05th May 1999)

The Church of England's Time of our Lives event happened over the bank holiday weekend and drew a crowd of around 4000 young Anglicans. Featured musicians included LCGC, Why?, dba and Courtney Pine. Unfortunately the independent bands evening was cancelled, which was a great loss. dba are shortly to release their debut single through Howard Jones' label.

dba Leaves NGM (29th Oct 1998)

New Generation Ministries have announced that they and their flagship band, dba, have parted ways. dba are on the verge of releasing their long awaited first mainstream single and best guess is that since NGM remains a mission based organisation their paths are no longer intertwined. Details of the single and new contact details for dba will appear here as soon as possible.

dba Prepare For Mainstream Single Launch (09th Sep 1998)

Popular euro-dance act, dba, are set to release their first mainstream single on the dtox label. More details as we get them.
