Tribal Shopping (23rd Jan 2001)

The Message Trust have recently launched www.messagetrading.co.uk as a one-stop shop for World Wide Message Tribe/The Tribe merchandise and some momentos of the Message 2000 event in Manchester. The Tribe are currently in the studio working on a new album to be titled Take Back The Beat. The album will be out this summer, with a single released some time around Easter. They also hope to make some MP3s available.

The Tribe and Co. (10th Jan 2001)

An all new website is now up for The Tribe. It's flash-based, takes a while to download and seems to have a few bugs at the moment but maybe you'll have more success loading it. Alliance Music are planning a new compilation of World Wide Message Tribe tunes, focussing on their more laid back numbers. The album, called Chilled is due for release next month. The Innervation Trust will begin operations on February 1st, and the work of Shine and V-Enna will fall under that banner.

New Tribe Lineup (23rd Dec 2000)

Movation Records have announced that former World Wide Message Tribe members Tim and Emma Owens and Lyndsey West will be joined by two ex-members of the South-African band MIC in their new group The Tribe. The new group will be recording early in the new year for an August release on Alliance Music.

The Tribe (19th Dec 2000)

Word has it that the World Wide Message Tribe is no more. With the departure of Cameron Dante to his DJing work, Claire's move towards overseas mission, Collette's new role training evangelists and Deronda's return to the USA, the remaining members have decided to refocus their work and change the group's name to The Tribe. The Message have also just completed the lineup for a new group to work in the schools of Manchester, the as-yet-unnamed group will start schools work soon and would appreciate any suggestions for their name.

Innervation (11th Dec 2000)

Innervation is a new initiative bringing together the management company Kik-Start, the record label Movation and other groups to form schools outreach bands across the country. Initially working with Shine and V-Enna, the organisation's plans include forming a number of "clone" bands who will share the same material in order to spread resources across the country. The organisation, which will be headed by Mark Pennells (ex-WWMT and now manager of Kik-Start), record producer Zarc Porter (Perfect Music/Movation), Rob White (a baptist minister in Manchester, formerly with YFC) and George Petch. Busy Month for Tribe (05th Dec 2000)

The World Wide Message Tribe have a busy few weeks coming up. Tonight they have a city-wide gig and have sent invites to all the schools in Manchester. For the rest of the week the group will be in Belfast at another schools event which will also feature Graham Kendrick and former WWMT member Deronda K Lewis. After that they're off to Azerbaijan with Operation Christmas Child before returning for the Christmas Planet Life with Phatfish and Cameron Dante.

Tribal Changes (12th Sep 2000)

More changes are afoot for the World Wide Message Tribe. Cameron Dante is leaving the tribe to pursue his new venture, Ascension, and Doronda Lewis is also leaving the Tribe to pursue a solo career. Her debut album is currently being recorded with producer Matt Wanstall.

Dante to Tour UK (03rd Jul 2000)

The World Wide Message Tribe frontman Cameron Dante will be undertaking a solo tour of the UK in June 2001. He's touring as part of an initiative to put on free evangelistic club nights across the UK. For more details visit www.ascension-uk.com.

Tribe's Big Gig (24th Jun 2000)

The World Wide Message Tribe have recently returned from taking part in the EO Youth Day at the Ajax stadium in Holland. The group played to a crowd of 50,000 at the annual event. The next day, they were back in Manchester playing at a Planet Life event alongside V-Enna.

Catching Up on Snippets (15th Jun 2000)

A few more short stories... Evergreen are working on the follow-up to their debut album, Dalek Boy. The new release apparently includes some worship material, and is to be produced by Phil Goss (As If). London-based rappers MinistriOfDefence hope to have their debut EP out this summer. World Wide Message Tribe vocalist Doronda Lewis is to leave the group after they complete their summer activities and is planning a solo career.

Snippets of Stories (14th Jun 2000)

The planned Shine/World Wide Message Tribe joint single has been shelved for the time being. Nameless Music have shifted over 300 tickets for the One Voice event on Saturday -- more will be available on the night. Steve Lawson is hoping to release his solo album at the same venue where it was recorded, The Troubadour, on July 15th.

One:Lite (25th May 2000)

One:Lite have been in the studio recently preparing tracks for their next EP, a project they plan to keep working on over the summer. One of the group's dancers, Natalie Hewlett, is leaving soon to join a new act put together by The Message, which will work alongside World Wide Message Tribe.

Quick Updates (04th May 2000)

Booley has been added to the bill for the World Wide Message Tribe concert at the Ulster Hall in Belfast on May 6th. Splat have nearly completed their debut album and hope to have it out at the end of May. Secret Archives of the Vatican will have a track on a new compilation put together by Freedom Music. SAOTV also recently got a good write up on Lycos.

Tribal Tour (19th Jan 2000)

The WorldWide Message Tribe recently announced their long-rumoured but previously unprecedented UK tour. The group will play a number of venues across the UK, and will be supported by an act yet to be announced. The tour, organised for Alliance Music by Cardiff-based Big Ideas, will showcase the album Frantik but is intended to form part of the build up to this summer's Message 2000 event run jointly by The Message and Soul Survivor.

Tidbits (19th Jan 2000)

Superhero have startedane-mail announcements list. Simply e-mail themto sign up. The band are currently recording an album with Room 3 Records. The RGeneration have continuedwork on their website and hope to gointo a studio soon. A new band has been signed by Movation to work alongside the WorldWide Message Tribe. They will be officially launched at the Message 2000event. Watch this space. The long-rumoured new look band index and some otherspecial developments will be here before the next Britlinks News goes tothe virtual presses.

Dante 2000 (27th Oct 1999)

Cameron Dante of WWMT and Bizarre Inc. fame continues to work on the follow up to his Preacha album. The new release is now due for summer 2000.

Frantik Message Tribe (01st Sep 1999)

World Wide Message Tribe's new album, Frantik is due for release on the 19th September. It has been preceded by a CD single featuring the title cut in album and extended mixes as well as another album track "Truth". The group also has several new teaching materials available.

Cameron Dante for Radio One (01st Sep 1999)

Movation Records have been commissioned to produce another Sanctified Dance Party for Radio One this Christmas. This year's show will once again be hosted by World Wide Message Tribe frontman Cameron Dante and will feature a range of uplifting dance tunes.

Movation Keep Busy (23rd Mar 1999)

Movation Records continue to keep busy. The latest Jumping In The House of God album has been launched in the US. Over there it's the second volume. Forefront Records have set up a website for the series at: http://www.jumpinginthehouse.com/. Movation and the World Wide Message Tribe are looking to start a new pop/dance evangelistic group. Psalmistry Prepare For A Big Year (30th Dec 1998)

The much delayed new album from dance act Psalmistry, Armchair Rebellion, is now recorded and the final production touches are being put to it before the UK release through Word Records. On the European mainland the albu, will be released on the Extreme Devotion label and it will probably have distribution in Australia and South Africa. The album has twelve tracks and will include the single "By Your Side". The group also have live dates coming up including: 23rd January, Planet Life with WWMT; 31st January in Brighton; and 6th February at Sublime in Southampton. Another Tribal Communique (30th Dec 1998)

World Wide Message Tribe is in the studio once again working on their new album. The as-yet-untitled new project should hit UK stores in August 1999.

Shine In February (16th Dec 1998)

The first EP from The Message (WWMT'sorganisation) band Shine will be released in the UKand Europe in February, containing four tracks and two remixes.

Jumping In The USA (16th Dec 1998)

The US version of the third Jumping In The House of God albumwill contain two tracks from the new Shine EP. A firm US release date isyet to be confirmed.

Movation On-Line (04th Nov 1998)

Movation Records, home to WWMT, Jumping In The House of God, Raze, and more are now on the web at http://www.movation.co.uk. Zarc Porter has been doing remixing work for a new Nik Kershaw single called 'Somebody Loves You' which is due for release in January and also working with Tedd T on production work for a new Raze album which is due for release next year, after December's EP release.

WWMT To Tour UK (04th Nov 1998)

World Wide Message Tribe are planning a UK tour for September next year! In the meantime they have a number of live dates booked for the next few months. WWMT recently hit number one on New Zealand's Christian Radio Network with Hypocrite and are also charting well at UCB.

Message To Change (04th Nov 1998)

The Message To Schools trust who support WWMT, among others, have changed their name to The Message to reflect their wider work, such as the Message 2000 project where Soul Survivor and The Message are joining forces for a massive summer mission in Manchester.

Jumping In The House of God III Fulfills Dream (26th Aug 1998)

Alliance UK have just released the latest volume in the Jumping In The House Of God series. World Wide Message Tribe frontman Cameron Dante says that this album represents what the series was meant to be all along. Alongside the tribe, contributions come from Matt Redman, Delirious?, Shine, Storm and others.
