New Indie of the Month (07th Mar 2001)

Our new indie of the month is the latest release from Dan Donovan, The Hex The Ghears. An album of unusual power and intrigue, Dan's collaboration with Hex and The Ghears is certainly a change from the all acoustic Leaven Dell which preceded it. Dan Donovan Projects Stirring (26th Mar 2000)

Tribe of Dan's plans to record soon have been foiled, but they are beginning to book up some live dates. It is now possible to order albums by Tribe of Dan, Dan Donovan and the Swamp Cranks through their website.

Tidbits (02nd Feb 2000)

Jonny Parks is currently inEastbourne, laying down tracks at ICCstudios for his debut solo album. Delirious? have beennominated for two Dove Awards: "Rock RecordedSong" for the track Gravity, and "Modern Rock/Alternative Album of theyear" for Mezzamorphis. The video for "It's OK" has been playlistedby MTV Europe. Tribe of Dan were asked tostep in after Bernard Butler had topull out of his scheduled appearance at Ronnie Scott's in Birmingham. Tenth Leper are celebratingthe launch of their new album, ReturnedWith Thanks. SecretArchives of the Vatican have been hard at work studying themusic of myriad cultures as they prepare to release their second CD. Theysay the new album will be "more ethnic, but also dancier" and are planningto invest in some new recording equipment to help them on their way. IndigoEcho have managed toget their new album, One distributedto all the HMV stores in Scotland as well as into their local VirginMegastore. A lot of opportunities seem to be opening up for the band, onthe same Room 3 Records label as Nervous Passenger andSuperhero. 3 Second Memory recentlysupported Dodgy at the Plymouth Pavilion.

Dan Donovan Prepares (19th Jan 2000)

Dan Donovan's musicalprojectsare currently snoozing, but he promisesthat activity will start again soon. Plans for Tribe of Dan to recordagain have had to be put on hold, but Dan's been working on some new tunesand sprucing up his website ready to spring back into action soon.

Dan's Tribe Grows (15th Oct 1999)

Tribe of Dan have announced that they have a new drummer in the form of Oscar Jefferson Whatmore. The group have just completed a string of dates in Belgium and tonight play their first London show for some time.

Tribal Single (16th Mar 1999)

Tribe of Dan have released thetracks "Boom The Boom" and "In The Blood", plus two previously unreleased songsas a single. The disc is available for £3.50 through the band.

Tribe Of Dan (02nd Dec 1998)

Tribe of Dan will be doing a gig in Peterborough on 14th December with a whole string of other artists, for the Musicians Union. The show will feature an 'all star jam' with members of: Midget, The Kinks, Ezio and the Prodigy. The band are writing some new material and planning a string of gigs early next year. Mojo magazine rightfully described their latest album, The Bootus Red as "blistering". More information through the band index.

Greenbelt releases compilation album (02nd Sep 1998)

A 25-year anniversary special at Greenbelt was a compilation CD featuring some of the best acts to perform at the festival over the years. The Alarm are featured alongside Tribe Of Dan, Eden Burning, Split Level and many more. It is available through ICC Music.
