Elevation Album Releases (13th Aug 2001)

Elevation records have announced that the new BottleRockit album One Small Step will launch on August 23rd, just in time to be sold at Greenbelt. The label will also have copies of Quench's EP The Quench EP on sale at the festival following its August 18th launch. Elevation will be reducing the price of albums on the label from 14.99 to 12.99 from September 1st.

Quench Complete EP (17th Jul 2001)

Quench, the band which formed earlier this year from the ashes of the final Why? lineup have completed work on their debut EP. The band have been working at ICC Studios with producer Trevor Michael on the EP which is to be released later this summer on ICC's new Elevation imprint. Label manager Adrian Thompson says the band sound nothing like their former incarnation and said that the EP sees them moving in an Ash/Foo Fighters direction.

Quench Appear (02nd May 2001)

Formed from the ashes of Why?, Quench is a new band featuring three members of the final Why? lineup (Andy Davis, Jamie Hill and Kevin Sefton) as well as new bass player Ron Knights. The band's sound is said to be considerably removed from Why? and their press release cites influences including Blink 182, Counting Crows and U2.

Blueprint EP (06th Nov 2000)

Blueprint are another band getting ready to record. The group hope to have their second CD--an EP--out by Christmas through their website and some local music outlets. The EP will probably be produced by Tim Hamill who has previously worked on albums with artists including George Michael, Powder and Liquid.

From Edinburgh to New York (16th Aug 2000)

IndigoEcho'sperformance on the World Art stage at the Edinburgh festivalwas broadcast live on the web and also to big screens inLondon's Covent Garden and to New York's Time Square. Theband report that the show went well with over 700 inattendance. Next stop for them is Greenbelt.

Snippets (29th Apr 2000)

The new Howard Jones album will feature former Iona bassist Nick Beggs. Beggs is currently preparing for a string of solo Chapman Stick concerts across the UK. dba are receiving a great deal of support from Sky TV. Sibling have just completed their first demo recording. Zozzy, designer of the original Britlinks logo has some tracks at MP3.com under the name The Love Frequency.

Delirious? Shorts (21st Apr 2000)

Delirious? will feature on a new compilation put out by Squint Records in the US to be titled Roaring Lambs. The album will also feature Sixpence None The Richer, Vigilantes of Love, Steve Taylor and PFR, among others. The band missed out on the the Dove Awards they were up for but were recognised as part of the team who worked on the Streams album, which won "Special Event Album of the Year" at the US CCM industry get-together.

Martyn and Shirley? (01st Mar 2000)

Martyn Joseph's been asked to support Shirley Bassey on her "Millennium Tour" in May and June this year. Martyn's increasing the emphasis on his website as the key place to find out about his music. The site is currently being redesigned and will soon be able to offer credit card ordering and more. A new monthly e-mail newsletter has just been launched. Members of his fanclub, the "Passport Queue" will be receiving an exclusive CD with the next mailing.

Joseph's Finishing Touches (10th Nov 1999)

The finishing touches have been made and the new Martyn Joseph album,Far From Silent is due for release imminently, with distribution to the Christian marketplace through Alliance Music. Positive press has already been coming in, particularly from Q magazine. Look for extensive coverage of Martyn Joseph coming up at The Phantom Tollbooth
