The Maddy Leigh Blues Band are about to begin pre-production for their debut album which will be recorded early next year. The band are in talks with Michael Bloodgood (of stadium rockers Bloodgood) who they hope will fly in from Seattle to produce the album before mixing it in the USA. The album will be released by Meltdown Music.
Fire Fly have been booked for the fourth annual Brainwave Festival in the Netherlands. Also booked for the festival are the USA's Blamed and a number of acts from mainland Europe. Fire Fly also recently appeared alongside Cephas, Crucifer and others at this year's Meltdown Festival in Oswestry. Crucifer announced that the event was to be their last live outing after many years together.
NSC have just returned from Germany, where they took lessons and played concerts in a number of schools. The band very much enjoyed their time and are now preparing to play a concert as part of BBC Music Live.

Alternative-indie act IfOnly whose promising debut album It's All Gone Very Orange wasreleased on Meltdown in 1997 have announced that they are to split in order topursue other interests.
Ambitious new rock act Freeze are looking for a male vocalist who's based in the midlands and is looking to join an evangelistic band influenced by All Star United, delirious?, Bride, Guardian, Johnny Q Public and Fono. The band are becoming involved with the Meltdown label and would like anyone interested to contact them at the address in the band index.
