Tidbits (05th Dec 2001)

A new Fono track, "Before I Blow" is now available from mp3.com. Juliet Turner has just completed a very successful headline tour of the UK and is now on tour supporting Ron Sexsmith. Julie Lord recently won a regional music competition, resulting in plenty of local press attention. Stephen Roy Hill is currently in the studio working on a four track EP. B@sic have filled their vacancy for a drummer and bassist with the addition of Dan Rowntree and John Leary.

Julie Lord on TV (29th May 2001)

Julie Lord has recently been filmed for a feature on the "Entertainment News" programme on digital channel 'God Digital'. The programme will be focussing on what musicians do as their day jobs and will show Julie in her work as a vocal teacher in schools and colleges around Northumberland and Tyneside.

Julie Lord's US distribution (20th Nov 2000)

Julie Lord's Lifetime album has been picked up for distribution through the "ReSound" touchscreen system, making it available in over 200 record shops across the USA. Julie is also gaining ground in radio play, both terrestrial and internet.

Julie Lord (12th Apr 2000)

Julie Lord recently appeared on the Cross Rhythms cable tv programme where they showed footage of her singing "Everybody Needs Love" from her Lifetime album. Internet radio station Farmfresh Music have playlisted "Even Now" from the same album.

Tidbits (16th Feb 2000)

Juliet Turner is currently in the studio working on tracks for the follow-up to her underrated debut, Let's Hear It For Pizza. The Electrics have recently recorded a cover of "Bad Indigestion" (originally performed by the Lost Dogs) for an upcoming tribute album to Terry Taylor/Daniel Amos. Julie Lord has recently revamped and moved her website. The Obstreperous, a recent addition to our band database, start work on their first album in April.

New Dawn News (24th Nov 1999)

New Dawn Music have been busy lately, with Brian Taylor joining the Brit Awards Voting Academy, made up of around 1000 music industry insiders who between them select many of the awardwinners. The label's artists remain busy and albums by Loose Goose, As If... and Julie Lord have recently been picked up for US distribution by Musicforce.com. The label have announced some special offers for Christmas.

Julie Lord and New Dawn (27th Jan 1999)

New Dawn Music is pleased to announce it is now working with the talented North-East based singer/songwriter Julie Lord. Julie's music is in theblues/jazz/funk vein. Her solo debut album Lifetime will now be released on the New Dawn label later this year. Brian Taylor of New Dawn Music commented 'I am delighted that Julie has agreed to join the New Dawn stable. She is a very gifted performer and songwriter and her musical style is very different to anyone else we work with but her quality music maintains the high standard that people expect from us'.
