Baker Caught Up In Labyrinth (01st Mar 2000)

Jonny Baker of Jonnys In The Basement informs us that he's been hard at work preparing a "labyrinth" in St. Paul's Cathedral. Labyrinths are used in a number of continental cathedrals as aids to prayer and meditation, and this particular venture will involve donning a discman which will provide meditations and music as you venture around a prepared pathway. It's on from the 6th-10th March between 10am-12.30 and 1.30-4pm. The CD is described as "very chilled" and will be available for sale, along with an instrumental version.

Jonny's In The Basement (15th Oct 1999)

Jonny's In The Basement's new release Backbone is the latest project to emerge from the collaboration of Jonny Baker and Jon Birch. The music explores themes of hope and justice through stories of Jonny Baker's recent visit to Israel with the Amos Trust. The sound is reported to be "big-beat agit pop".

Jonny Baker Innovates (24th Feb 1999)

The next album from Jonny Baker will be something quite new for theChristian music scene. Influenced lyrically by a recent trip toIsrael/Palestine, with a strong emphasis on human rights, and a soundsomewhere near to Massive Attack, this sounds like one to watch out for.
