Indigoecho recently completed a 4 date tour in Scotland. The band played at: Strathclyde Uni St Andrew's Uni Westport Bar Dundee Mercat Edinburgh The Tour went right into the heart of the mainstream playing to students and music lovers all over Scotland. 'We were looking to be Salt and Light where ever we went' said Clive Parnell (lead singer). A great moment for the band came at St Andrew's university (not because Wills bought a CD) but because the crowd were seen singing along to the bands songs and the Christians were seen worshipping. 'We have seen how much hard work touring in the mainstream is but can see the benefits, some of which might not see fruit for years to come'.
IndigoEcho have hit number one on the mp3.com Edinburgh chart. The new Beyond the Bars album is pretty much finished, with just a little post-production work still to do. Mechunkandoolan have a new album called Humble Pie out. Susan Enan and Laura-Anne both play tonight at the belFEST event - both women are also currently working on albums. Love Crusade's debut single Coming Home is available now. Coastal Dune will be appearing with Caroline Alexander at the Borderline later this month.
IndigoEcho are another band who've had a busy summer, launching their new CD at Virgin Megastore, Edinburgh, and playing at Greenbelt among other venues. They're now working on new material for the UK tour planned for March 2002. They're also working on a US tour for May. The band have just put three songs on mp3.com for your downloading pleasure.
Lots of recording and release information has been slipping out lately. Dissident Prophet have completed recording of their new album and are hoping to get it mastered very soon. Expect some gig news from them in the coming weeks. Marilla Ness will be releasing her new album, Jesus My Joy next month. Crossways Music have just launched their new website, complete with full online catalogue. Joyride JC have a new guitarist, Oliver Shipway, and are hoping to release a new album around Christmas. Crossfire have decided to call it a day due to other commitments. Andy Sayner of Crossfire is now working on some solo material. IndigoEcho have now launched their new EP.
IndigoEcho are hoping that their new CD Fade Away/Coming Home will go top twenty in the Virgin Megastore Edinburgh chart. The band have the CD on the listening posts in the store and plenty of pre-release interest. The band will launch the CD in the store at 6pm on 16th August.
IndigoEcho have nowcompleted work on their new CD and are just awaiting thefinal touches to the artwork. The band are hoping to makeuse of contacts at Q and Smash Hits to publicise the releasewhich is expected sometime during the summer.
Kato took some time out of their Spring Harvest tour to appear on ITV's Sunday Morning last weekend. They're currently promoting their Welcome To My World album. Superhero will be appearing on TV twice during May, on the Alpha Zone (Channel 5) on the 6th and on Eikon (ITV) on the 20th. Superhero have been recording more demos recently and are currently pushing them to record companies. IndigoEcho will appear on Eikon this Sunday.
IndigoEcho have been getting some mainstream radio and TV coverage with their album One being played on Edinburgh's main local radio station and a performance due to appear on a new Scottish TV programme called 'eikon'. The latter will also feature Superhero and the 'Future' event, which takes place every other month at King Tuts in Glasgow, as part of a focus on Christian music in Scotland.
A year after the release of their One album, IndigoEcho have managed to get it included on the listening posts in Edinburgh's Virgin Megastore as one of the store's "top choice CDs". The band are currently working on a new single on Room 3 Records which is due to be launched in August with an event at the Virgin store. The single will contain two new tracks, "Fade Away" and "Coming Home" as well as a reworking of a track from the album and some enhanced content.
Among the crowds trying to reach Madonna when she arrived in Scotland for her wedding last month were IndigoEcho, eager to get a copy of their CD to her. The band say they used their "inside knowledge of the Dornoch area" to get a copy of their album One to the "exact place she was staying". They hope she enjoys it.
Room 3 Records have announced plans to repeat their successful Edinburgh festival venue at this year's event. The label, originally formed to promote Nervous Passenger and now also home to Superhero and IndigoEcho are currently looking for a range of artists interested in taking part in the festival. IndigoEcho have announced that their next release will be a CD EP, again recorded with Room 3 Records. The band plan to record between January and March next year on the island "Mull", just off the coast of Scotland. The band have been approached by the website cdbaby.com about the possibility of playing a few shows in the Seattle area of the USA next summer.
IndigoEcho, Nervous Passenger, Superhero and Aieris have been receiving a lot of publicity in the build up to their gig at King Tuts tomorrow night, including a listing on the Radio One website. Reality are taking a break from gigging during January and February due to exams but hope to be back on the road soon, possibly with a CD EP. Catherine Francis has appeared a couple of times recently at the Unplugged and Intimate night in Bracknell organised by former Beehive manager Hadyn Wood.
Clive Parnell, IndigoEcho front-man, has recently returned from Shetland, where he played a number of acoustic gigs. He reports that the local BBC radio station is playing the band's CD and that he played to over 900 people during his week there. Clive wants to know whether he holds the record for the most northerly gig played by an artist listed on Britlinks? IndigoEcho have also announced some special Christmas discounts on copies of their album One.
Room 3 Records artists Nervous Passenger have started work on recording the follow-up to their [taller trees] album. The band have a lot of material ready to go down but aren't making any promises about a release date as yet. Fellow Room 3 band IndigoEcho are also beginning to think about their next album and gather material together.
Aieris have just announced that they will be playing some dates over the next few months with the Room 3 Records band IndigoEcho. They will also be playing one date with Nervous Passenger.
The Room 3 Records venue on the Edinburgh festival fringe is reported to have gone well, with just one last evening to go, featuring YFriday. Last night's Robin Mark concert sold out and the label's own bands have been well received. Next stop for Room 3 is a showcase afternoon at Greenbelt.

Warming up for their slots at the Edinburgh and Greenbelt festivals, IndigoEcho are set to play at the Edinburgh Virgin Megastore. The band will be appearing on both the BT-sponsored Ross Band stage and the Room 3 Records venue at the Edinburgh festival this year. Still very much under development, the site already contains details of the label's venue at the Edinburgh festival and the option to buy tickets. NGM, home to Tomorrow's Girl, Steve and various other artists have just launched their new website. One:Lite's next release will be a 4 track EP, due sometime during the summer. Scotland's IndigoEcho are planning a mini-tour of southern England for November, visiting Eastbourne, Brighton and London. If anyone would like to book them for any dates to coincide with the tour, they'd love to hear from you. The band are planning to tour the Midlands and northern England early in 2001. IndigoEcho also hope to be playing at this year's Greenbelt Festival.
Room 3 Records are planning to run a venue at this year's Edinburgh festival to showcase a range of Christian artists. The label's three bands, Nervous Passenger, IndigoEcho and Superhero will appear and there are plans to bring in a number of acts, some with an international profile.
One, IndigoEcho's recent release, has been picked up for inclusion in the HMV catalogue so should be available through all HMV stores across the country as well as on their website. The band are planning to head south for the Greenbelt festival and are also doing a tour of England in November. Contact them if you want to book them for a date during that tour.

SecretArchives of the Vatican have been hard at work studying themusic of myriad cultures as they prepare to release their second CD. Scottish pop-rock band IndigoEcho has begun work on their new album. The band will be recording over the next few months with Room 3 Records who have until now worked mainly with Nervous Passenger as well as completing freelance projects for other organisations.
Scotland's IndigoEcho and Nervous Passenger have had a busy couple of weeks. Over the weekend of June 4th-6th they played the Crossover Festival along with Halcyon Days, Fabulous, The Electrics, Booley, The Honey Thieves and more. The event was a great success and plans are already afoot to develop it for next year. The bands also played at a Jubilee 2000 event last weekend in Edinburgh where they drew mainstream press attention. Nervous Passenger have announced they will be playing at this year's Greenbelt festival.
Scotland's IndigoEcho will be recording a new album this autumn for a December release and are looking to tour the UK in support of the album during January and February. IndigoEcho have been enjoying a few shows recently after a break from touring and are preparing for a London gig in May as well as a show at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall. The band's new demo is now at their website in MP3 format.

Scottish bands IndigoEchoandNervous Passenger are due to play at the Jubilee 2000 event in Edinburgh on June 12th. The show will be at the Traverse Theatre and the bands look forward to supporting this cause.
