After many years' delay, the new album from Helen Jayne is now available. The album has been delayed by Helen's illness, from which she is still not entirely recovered -- she won't be gigging this year -- but is improving. The album, titled Give My Life and available from her website, sees Helen turning her focus from the "christian" to mainstream markets. She has also released a charity single called "Prayer for America" to raise money for the Red Cross.
It's been quite a while since we had any news from Helen Jayne, but at long last we have some. Helen's song "Hebot Ti" has been selected for the final round of this year's Song for Wales contest and is to be performed on S4C on March 1st by young Welsh singer Cathryn Ayres. The camera crew have also visited Helen in her Berkshire studio to record footage for the show. An English version of the song will be available as an MP3 through Helen's website and on her forthcoming new album.
