New Deal for Badger (10th Nov 1999)

Northern Ireland based Badger Management have recently signed a deal with the USA's Davdon Artist Agency to exclusively represent them in Europe. Davdon is one of the biggest tour agencies in the AmericanC hristian market, representing artists such as the Supertones and Smalltown Poets as well as the UK's Fono.

Under the new arrangement Badger's Stephen Orr (formerly of Halcyon Days) will run a European office for Davdon and the company hopes to raise European business from its current level at 2% of its turnover to between 5 and 10% within the next year.

Badger Management's Booley is continuing to gig regularly and receive positive reactions, while Fono are currently touring the US with the Goo Goo Dolls and enjoying increasing airplay.

Farewell Halcyons (29th Sep 1999)

Halcyon Days have decided to call it a day. One of Ireland's best selling groups, receiving much positive attention for their Alkaline Times album, the band have been together for a number of years and are separating to pursue other projects. As the manager of Booley, Jonny Parks and Brian Houston, and agent for Fono, band drummer Stephen Orr will certainly be keeping busy.

Exciting Times for Indigo and Passengers (16th Jun 1999)

Scotland's IndigoEcho and Nervous Passenger have had a busy couple of weeks. Over the weekend of June 4th-6th they played the Crossover Festival along with Halcyon Days, Fabulous, The Electrics, Booley, The Honey Thieves and more. The event was a great success and plans are already afoot to develop it for next year. The bands also played at a Jubilee 2000 event last weekend in Edinburgh where they drew mainstream press attention. Nervous Passenger have announced they will be playing at this year's Greenbelt festival.

Badger Managing Well (27th Jan 1999)

Exciting times for Badger Management, the Northern Ireland basedmanagement company for HalcyonDays and Booley House.They're promoting a delirious? gigin March and then sending Booley House (April) and Halcyon Days (June)into the studio to work on new material. In the last few months BooleyHouse have played support for Duran Duran, Brian Kennedy, Steve Earle andAll Star United and they are hoping to make it to the USA later in theyear. Crossover In 1999 (16th Dec 1998)

International Compilation (16th Dec 1998)

A new compilation album, Cry For Justice has recently beenreleased to raise money for the Sudan. The album contains contributionsfrom artists from Australia, the Netherlands, USA, Sweden and the UK. UKartists include Halcyon Days,Booley House, Fresh Claim, Jenny and Alex Legg andBrian Houston.The producer says that this website was very helpful in finding artistsfor the album. Maroons Make UK Debut (02nd Sep 1998)

A worship-based group featuring Halcyon Days' drummer, Stephen Orr and Iain Archer-collaborator Johnny Parks, were another band putting in an appearance at Greenbelt. Their debut CD was released through ICC at the festival. More details as soon as my copy arrives. Stephen Orr says that Halcyon Days plan to spend the autumn working on material for a new album which should be released some time next year.
