There've been quite a number of changes within Get Real! of late. Guitarist Charlie Wilson has left the band, as has Joy who we're told has been with the band for 6 years though doesn't appear to be mentioned on the band's website. Charlie is to be replaced by the combined force of newcomer Paul Braddock and returning former member Clive Davenport who will share guitar and vocal duties. The band are continuing to look for another vocalist and are also in the middle of working on two new CDs: one electric and one acoustic.
Get Real have announced the departure of Clive Davenport from the band. Although Clive will continue to utilise members in his own project he will not be performing with Get Real after the current run of gigs are completed. Clive will be replaced by ex-100% proof/Force 3, guitarist and vocalist, Charlie Wilson. Charlie may be remembered by some from the 100% Proof Greenbelt headlining days as well as the numerous live outings with Force 3.
Get Real have just confirmed a new lineup and are anxious to get back on the road. They're going into the studio later this month. Kato, who are currently on tour in Canada, have been delighted by reviews for their new album. The Klyvz have some new material available in MP3 form through their website. Chi2 are featured in this month's DJ Magazine. project3 have been garnering airplay on Newcastle Student Radio and are featured on some of the Leeds University Student Union's publicity postcards.
Get Real! have announced a change of lineup with a few original members leaving and Clive Davenport and Yvie Morley joining. The band had recorded a followup to their Futureproof album, which was to be titled Big World, Small Town, but this probably won't release as it is no longer representative of the band. They're instead preparing to return to the studio to record a new EP tentatively titled Small Fish In A Big Pond. The band are hoping to get to Northern Ireland in the near future and are currently lining up a number of live dates -- they've posted some details to our 'Touring' discussion board.
