Audiogene (formerly (My) BottleRockit) will spend the next couple of months on the road, previewing for fans the new material written during what they describe as a "a brain-frying 5 months stuck in [the] studio". The band have been writing and rehearsing material which they hope will go towards their new album which they say is taking shape "quite nicely". No release details are yet available for that album.
It looks as though Midlands-based rock act Gen will be flying to Indiana on February 9th to record their debut album with producer Tim Bushong. The band have been gigging hard around their local scene and were picked up for management by Meltdown last year.
According to Pete Cant's latest newsletter, change is coming to the Oxygen camp very soon as Dave Barker is officially leaving the group. They have started to hold auditions for a new male member to join the group as soon as possible to help fulfill summer commitments.
This year's Greenbelt Festival will feature headline sets from Delirious?, Martyn Joseph's Faith Folk And Anarchy group, folk band Show of Hands, twenty-piece Jazz Jamaica All Stars and Over The Rhine. Also on the initial bill are Fierce-signed All Star United, Cephas, Fire Fly, Dennis Rollins and band, The Ghears and Oxygen. The club side of things is so far represented by Notting Hill's Future World Funk, DJ Rupert and another set from Abundant. A large programme of speakers, classical musicians and other arts has also been announced. Throughout April Greenbelt are featuring daily news stories on their website giving the lowdown on this year's event as well as exclusive musings from artists appearing this year on the festival's theme which will this year be "Kiss of Life".
Alliance today announced the complete itinerary for the forthcoming tour by World Wide Message Tribe successors The Tribe. All the dates are now in our gig guide. The group will be supported on the tour by newcomers Oxygen who have been receiving plenty of press attention lately, touted as YFC's answer to hearsay. The tour is being put together in association with ICC Records, charity Samaritan's Purse and production company Wigwam (Spice Girls, Steps, Craig David) and will run from the end of November to the beginning of December.
YFC's latest act Oxygen, who've been garnering a fair bit of attention recently including a Big Breakfast appearance and coverage in Big Issue, are beginning work on their debut album which will be launched on the Elevation label. The group, who were brought together following a 'Popstars' style talent hunt, have already launched a limited edition EP One Step Closer and will be appearing as part of the ICC showcase at Greenbelt.
Aleem, a founder member of West Midlands based the r generation, has left the band to concentrate on his forthcoming a-levels. The band remain confident, however, and are currently auditioning new members. Aleem remains the band's webmaster.

Seems like a lot of people have been giving their websites an overhaul recently. With their album release now only a couple of weeks away, IndigoEcho have had their site reworked, as have the Fabulous Bingo Brothers and the r generation. BritLinks Design is currently working on a new look for the Nervous Passenger site.

Promising Scottish indie-rock outfit Fabulous have decided to call it a day after the departure of their bass player. The rest of the band members are hoping to be back on the music scene soon with a new band,and are currently thinking of calling themselves "Generic".
