Delirious? have finally updated their website with a new look and easier navigation (partly due to the move away from flash-based design). The website is labelled "version 0.1" with a promise that over the coming weeks, months and years it will continue to grow and develop. The band have just finished a tour of the USA and are preparing to take Glo on the road around the UK from next week. Also on the cards is Pro-mode, a video compilation said to include the videos for all the singles so far and maybe a few other treats for fans.
Fresh from the release of Glo, Delirious? have announced a short UK tour, planned for November this year. Tour dates will be listed in our calendar very shortly.
For the ten days leading up to the release of their new album Glo, Delirious? are planning to update their website daily with news and information about the new album. We hope to have a review of Glo shortly.
Furious? Records are now taking pre-orders for copies of Glo, the new album from Delirious? which is due for release on July 29th. The band are planning to release the album in the USA in October, supporting it with an extensive tour, and say that while the track order and cover art may be different on the US release, the actual songs included will remain the same. The band are also planning a 30+ date US tour for April 2001.
Our pals over at spurious have been in touch to let us know that they're running a competition to win a signed pre-release of the new Delirious? album Glo. Head over to their site, or Dave Woods' D: site to enter.
The new Delirious? album Glo will release on Saturday 29th July. Details of the album's distribution have yet to be revealed, but given that it is being released on a Saturday and the worship-focus of the new recordings it would appear likely that the album will not receive the mainstream push that the band's previous two have had. The official Delirious? website which was down recently as it was moved to a server located withing the Furious? offices is now back up.
Aieris have begun to plan the follow up to their Meet Your Maker EP. The second release, to be titled No Motion Glow will be recorded in Glasgow with the same producer as its predecessor, and is due for a late October release.
David and Carrie Grant, along with their band United Colours of Sound, have been assisting Delirious? with the recording of their new album Glo. The album is set for release around the end of July and is said to also include some bagpipe contributions. Track names include "Awaken The Dawn", "My Glorious", "God You Are My God" (taken from Psalm 63) and "The Years Go By".
Delirious? are looking for 150 people aged between 18-40 to sing with them on some tracks for their new album, provisionally titled GLO. The recording will take place on the evening of May 11th in London and entrance is by ticket only. Tickets are available on request from Furious? Records. The album is due for a summer release.
