Aieris Distribution Discussions (05th Feb 2002)

Scottish indie-rockers Aieris are currently involved in distribution negotiations for their Sophomore EP. The EP was recently described as "clever" by the NME and the band say it has attracted "definite interest from two UK distribution companies". They hope that this means the EP will be repackaged and released across the UK this spring. The band are also planning an extensive tour for the spring/summer.

Aieris' Sophomore (02nd May 2001)

Aieris are planning to release their second EP, Sophomore, in July with a launch party in Edinburgh. The EP has been produced by Phil Lidstone and Ross Hamilton and is being mastered by Denis Blackham (Janet Jackson, Led Zeppelin). The new EP apparently brings in more influences from american indie-rock alongside the british indie which has been influencing the band.

Aieris Release (16th Jan 2001)

Scottish rockers Aieris have a new live demo available to interested promoters, the demo contains six songs, all but one of which are new. The band have a few more gigs lined up before entering the studio again within the next couple of months to get working on their next release.

Tidbits (05th Dec 2000)

IndigoEcho, Nervous Passenger, Superhero and Aieris have been receiving a lot of publicity in the build up to their gig at King Tuts tomorrow night, including a listing on the Radio One website. Reality are taking a break from gigging during January and February due to exams but hope to be back on the road soon, possibly with a CD EP. Catherine Francis has appeared a couple of times recently at the Unplugged and Intimate night in Bracknell organised by former Beehive manager Hadyn Wood.

Scottish Bands Link Together (23rd Aug 2000)

Aieris have just announced that they will be playing some dates over the next few months with the Room 3 Records band IndigoEcho. They will also be playing one date with Nervous Passenger.

Aieris Motion (06th Jun 2000)

Aieris have begun to plan the follow up to their Meet Your Maker EP. The second release, to be titled No Motion Glow will be recorded in Glasgow with the same producer as its predecessor, and is due for a late October release.

Aieris Recruit Drummer (15th May 2000)

Graeme Sutherland is now a permanent member of Scotland's Aieris, joining the band on drums. He has previously worked with the Paul Oakley band and with a permanent drummer now on board the band hope to play some gigs this summer. Aieris are already working on new material for a second EP. Their first, Meet Your Maker, has been receiving play on BBC Radio Scotland.
