John Heavens
was immersed in music from an early age. His mother Betty (apart from being a full time mother of five) earned extra income by playing piano. It was common for music to be in the home at weekends. He first picked up a guitar at the age of 20 and wrote a first song at 30. It was work that in 1984 took John to Norwich, now his home. His children, David, Leanne and Matthew, have all been born there. He is married to Michelle who originates from Ipswich. His debut album 'Back To The Vision', which was recorded and mastered in Norwich and Abbey Road, London, was released in January 2000 and is intended to produce a contemporary style of songwriting with positive lyrics, but without being 'in your face.' It was designed to produce music that can be enjoyed by people from all walks of life. Tracks taken from the ‘Back To The Vision’ album have been featured on a number of UK radio and national ITV broadcasts.
John Heavens has been in touch to let us know that he has a new solo album, Back To The Vision out. The album's sees him moving in a singer-songwriter direction and with its release he has announced that the band Big Vision are on hold to allow him to focus on his solo adventures.
