Carbon 14, started life when Allan, Jim & Ken (later joined by Doug) met on a performing arts course. But they insist Carbon 14 is "no poncy stardom-by-numbers contrivance spawned by 90's kids from fame." Instead they pick up on phrases like, "classy alterna-rock" -- Melody Maker's description of them -- and claim to play their music" with the passion and intensity of an addict looking to score."

Describing themselves as "revived and ready to rock", and still buzzing from a support slot with Reef and some XFM airplay, C-14 are set to return to the studio next month to record new tracks for a new album/ep of what singer Jim describes as some of their 'best material to date.' They will also be releasing a single under independent label 'Isotope Records' around the same time featuring CD-ROM live footage.
