Band Photo

Alan Draper began composing during the Golden Age of Progressive Music in the early 70's, influenced by Genesis, Yes, Stackridge and King Crimson as well as the earlier wave of innovative pop from the 60's,The Beatles, The Moody Blues and Procol Harum. He was a member of The Barley Wine Band and The Alsatians, before releasing his debut solo album Earth Magic in 1989.This release was heavily influenced by the folk scene and the music of The Enid. At this time Alan composed the music to accompany a stage production of Chaucer's Canterbury Tales. During 1999,Alan digitally remastered the best music from Earth Magic and Canterbury Tales, and added some new tracks to create Ascension Day.
