On The Outside Looking In sleeve

Bell Jar's second album sees them continuing to explore the
fringes of rock, pop, jazz and gospel with a professionalism which is rarely
found and a degree of insight which is all too rare. Formed by well experienced
musicians, Bell Jar manage that rare feat of producing "musicians' music" which
is still accessible to all.

Musically, this is a natural progression from Secret Volcanoes, with a refined,
grown-up-pop sound which retains plenty of hooks alongside its heavyweight
subject matter. Lyrically the album is subtle but incisive and its clear that
Paul Northup has built on the foundations he laid while writing for href="/band.php/Eden+Burning">Eden Burning. With a key slot at this year's Greenbelt festival and a number of
other tour dates ahead of them, Bell Jar are well worth a listen.

The album is available direct from the band and for a limited time only you can
get this album and its predecessor, Secret Volcanoes, together for only
£15.
